What do you throw at the wily Thunder Chicken, fixed blade or Mechanical broadheads? When you bagged a Turkey with your Bow, where did you hit him or her including the angle the arrow went into or through, Which head did you use and what was the recovery distance?
I'm using a 2" cut Rocket Hammerhead but have yet to get my first bow turkey. Best of Luck!

It's been a while since I shot a turkey with a bow. I used a mechanical broadhead, and I shot the turkey through the body cavity through both wings. That way they have a lesser chance of flying off on you. It would be really tough to hit the head or neck.

The Gobbler Guillotine wiped 'em all out:
I never shot a turkey with anything but a #4 shot though, 2nd or 3rd shot at that... sometimes more than bird too... dumb birds they were, 'caint says I miss them either

Yes, it was a long time ago. Back when there used to be quail in MO. The turkeys ate all the quail and then died from overeating.

It wasn't from gorging themselves on quail. The otters ate the turkey.

Thanks for the tip about there being no turkeys in MO, my mistake. I appreciate you settin' me straight on that. And those rumors about lakes in Minnesota....all lies made up by the DNR and Tourism boards!!
For otters, there's the Muzzy Otter-ator 6 blade, Rocket's Otter Blender (best setting is "puree", but the power cord makes shooting this one tough) and, let's not forget NAP's OtterDoom.

Yeah, them's some good blades, but you gotta shoot 'em off a bodoodle arrow rest.

Truth be told, all the fish ain't gone....buddy of mine caught a ten inch largemouth and a two pound carp down on Table Rock the other day. And he says he saw some little perch up under a dock. Looks like it might be a pretty decent spring this year if he can find the other three or four that must have been spawned with that one.

One thing for sure...down at the LOTO MOCraig, and PS`s guzillionaire cronies have killed everything that swims with those big azz yachts they like to play in. Can`t even find a fuggin big buffalo to shoot anymore.
