I bought it last summer and never opened it. I would think it would be ok.

Smell it. If it stinks, then it's still OK.

I guess the real question here is do you plan on opening it this summer?

How can you tell when stink bait has gone bad?

Like fine wine and chicken livers...it only gets better with age!

Put a tiny bit on a spoon and taste it. If you puke it is still good. If you don't feed it to the kid, makes em grow.

If it ain't dried so hard that you can't get it outta the jar, it's still good.

Even if it is a little dry you can mix some warm beer with it and it comes back. Don't get that crap on your clothes....even the skunks will run from you.

What do you think I am gonna do with it? I'm gonna catch a mess of catfish with it. That Sonnys is the real deal for stink bait. I don't know when, but I am gonna catch a mess of them. I might even try it this Sunday afternoon after church.

Where you going....ponds or big water? I got the big rods and reels out the other day checking line and such. I see a trip to Marion Access in the near future. Going to work on getting the little boat set up this weekend. It's too small for big rivers, but works good in smaller waters.

Any of you JC people ever fish the Mari-Osa Access area? I've passed over it dozens of times. It looks like a good stretch of water to wet a line.

Have done some fishing right at the access with limited success. There was quite a few folks in and out when I was fishing there, so I think that kept the bite down. I've heard of folks doing quite well around that area, especially if you hoof it away from the launch area. Have put in there a lot to run up/down the river. I like fishing the Osage.

Mari-Osa looks like a clean place. I took a gander at that Marion Access on the way back from Columbia once, I think. If I recall, the boat ramp does not directly dump into the Missouri, just a tributary to the Missouri?
