So, how many of you folks actually pratice all the time? Or do you just hang up the lanyard until next year!?

Personally I could use my calls to better my callin' to sound like the Mallard Hen. Yes I know that reading the ducks are a very big part of hunting as well. But just sticking to calling do you do it? If so in the car, at home with your buds, what?

Any aids like CD-ROMs or DVDs?

Daffy, typically mine get put up until the next October. Then, I break'em out and start drivin momma nuts by practicin round the house.

As far as CDs, CD-Roms, DVDs, and the like, I don't really use'em. I just try to imitate what I've heard in the field - ducks and other hunters who are better callers than myself (fortunatley, I've gotten to hunt with some incredible callers). I do watch a few DVDs... Duckmen, Fowl Play, etc... but that's more for fun than education. Alot of them video heros are more concerned wif competition style callin, than just puttin ducks in the dekes, which is my main concern.

HC - I couldn't agree more with what you just said.

I luv to get better and all and will one of these days.
But I ain't about to do the comp thing. I guess it sounds okay but not in real life hunting, just doesn't work!
