Just checking to see if there are any Cardinal Fans on here, and if so what kind of year are you expecting them to have?

Always be a Cardinal fan, but it would suprise me if'n the Birds finish 1st or 2nd. The 'stros and the baby bears still have the best pitching in the league. I dont think the Cardinals helped themselves during the off season. Still no relief pitching and not much on depth.

Next, anyone..Buehler...Buehler? Image

Pitching will be the thorn in the Cards' side again this year. Both their lack of it, and good pitching from other teams. Starters Matt Morris and Woody Williams cannot save the team alone. Like maw said, they still have no relief pitching, either.

If Carpenter comes along they may have a chance.....and since St Louis is the only major league team in Missouri.....I look for the Cubbies to have some injury problems....dont know why but they had very few in their pitching last year....A healthy Isrenhausen for the whole season may help the Cards some....

Hey Fellers!!! Last year the pundits picked the Birds for first place an they finished third. So this year they are picking them in third place so... mabbe they are wrong again. It will all boil down to pitching an who of the pitchers are left standing come October.

saw where ray langford had the game winning hit last night...wonder what his chances are of sticking with the cards? dont they have enough strike out people and I dont mean pitchers either? Who will get the left field position?

Boy, I dunno who is gonna play left field. Cards let(?) some good utility players go. Prez, Palmero, Cairo, boy I hate to see them leave. I'll try and see some games this year, by next year(with the new stadium) prices wil be sky high.

Sounds like the guys they received in the JD Drew trade are gonna help out. The Wainwright kid is really supposed to a plus but we will have to wait and see. I like their chances even though they did not stay up with the Scubs and Stro's in the offseason. Makes me nervous thinking Lankford and Womack might be names in a starting line-up. Let the games begin!

You know, I heard he was back. What the heck? I thought he didn't or wouldn't play for LaRussa anymore.
