Bill S0918 just passed the senate this bill will allow the use of Rifles for taking Deer and Bear in the southern parts of NY State which has been up until now only Shotgun Time to put some of that target shooting to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, but only because I haven`t tried. There aren`t any left in IL...cougars ate `em all.

170 I have taken deer with a bow, and a Shotgun. When it is bow season I am in the treestand but, when the regular season opens this year I will be using my 30-06 not a shotgun!! Bud yes you can eat Bear it has to be cooked like pork (well done).

I live in upstate NY, been all around but came back home to NY.

Over on ArcheryTalk they have nothing good to say about NY deer hunting. What are your thoughts?

New York and PA hunters are the whiniest people on the net.

My thoughts are if you are after a trophy you will be waiting a while, there are some but they are few and far between. I hunt to fill the freezer first,I would not turn down a 10pt buck for a doe but I will fill my doe tags as the deer present themselves. I bow hunt as well as gunhunt so I do alright.

Dave most of the Whiners are from NYC ect.... who probably don't know how to hunt in the first place. They come up here get out of there cars put on a drive over run everyone else and shoot up 50 or 60 rounds and hit nothing, no wonder they go home empty handed. Some of those idiots never fire there weapons to see if they are on target.
