I was out cruising the backroads of Moniteau County a few days back and happened upon Tick Farm Road. You weren't as original as I gave you credit for. Image

I've been know to take a sign or 2 in my time.

In college, I borrowed a "Slow Children At Play" sign and drew a crutch on the kid. We hung it up in our dorm room. When we moved out into a house, I took it back to the township garage and slid it under the door, complete with my roommate's & my signatures on the back, with the date we borrowed it.

How much does a bushel of ticks bring at market these days?

Our quarters table in our college dorm room was a stop sign sitting on milk crates. Image The stop sign came from our senior party. Highway patrol stopped by and asked if we knew anything about some missing signs. We assured him that we did not. He said....as he pulled his foot off a piece of 4x4 sign post that was hanging out of the fire... that he better not find out we had taken any road signs. Image

I borrowed one of those "Neighborhood Watch" signs. The irony silently amused me for years.

That's pretty funny , BB. Image

I went to high school with a dude that had a street sign in his basement. It was " Smoke Rise Ct. "

I have no idea what that meant. Image

They recently installed some "traffic calming devices" in my subdivision. These are not speed bumps, but rather speed humps. they are about the height of a speed bump, but they are about 10 feet long.

Of course they had to place signs in front of each speed hump. There are 3 speed humps, and two signs per hump (one facing each direction). All 6 signs were snagged within a week of being put up. You must admit, the idea of having a huge yellow sign with "SPEED HUMP" on it would look pretty darn good above your bed back in college...

Back in college, I would've had the sign "Speed Jerk". Are there any of those around.

No we had company, and Wifee poo had to work, so we ended up siting this one out.

Actually, we didn't even buy any this year. I must be gettin old or something.

I did get out and shoot the ol varmint rifle friday. My friend got a new .270 so at least we made a bunch of noise this weekend Image

Next year, it'll be about time to clean out the loading cabinet. Time to get some Jack Danials and some cannon fuse and say "Hey Ya'all, watch this" Image
