Once in a lifetime opportunity......

Post by coyotewhacker » July 7th, 2005, 8:54 am

CW's tournament partner, Table Rock, has some family business come up that has priority over walleye fishing. Some things you just gotta take care of, so CW has an open seat in the Express if anybody is still in need of a partner. This is late notice, but we have been closely watching TR's situation for nearly two weeks and it was only yesterday that things came to a head. Look me up at the State Park marina motel (#8 I think is where I'll be staying) and since Marty won't be there, I also have half a room if any body needs a place to crash. I'll be running errands tomorrow afternoon after I come in off the lake, but let El Presidente or Pesky Woman (Pat Fisher) know, and they will pass the info on to me. I also have a slip in the marina, but don't know what the number is.
This tournament, CW plans on fishing a real slow live bait presentation at three or four selected locations. It is possible that I may even copy John Estes and drop anchor to thoroughly fish the spots I have pre-selected. Opportunities like this don't often present themselves, and I would prefer to fish with a partner, but if I have to keep all the prize money for myself, then that will work, too. JC....wish you could have made it down. It was hot and muggy out on the lake, but Front Row's endless supply of frosty malt made it bearable.
MoCraig....CW is always glad to put up information for those less fortunate than us walleye guys. I did get a first class partner Friday afternoon. It transpired that a fella named Mike Campbell was in need of a partner. He had a working boat and a very warm campsite.....I had a well chilled room at the motel with an extra bed. Things work out. Mike's not a computer guy, so he doesn't know about this place. However, if you ever want to do some serious jig fishing, he would be a good man to contact. For some reason, his new trolling motor battery was quitting early in the day....I had a brand new Ole Yeller from that big discount chain store....he's gotta do something about that back seat in his boat, though....(long story).
