Stockton MWAA Outing

Post by reelxtc » July 31st, 2005, 11:40 am

Hi,

We thought it might be good to have an "Unofficial" get together at Stockton Lake in August prior to the Sept. tournament.

The annual Cabela's Tent Sale in KC. is August 19-21st, so that weekend is OUT for me. I was thinking about Saturday August 27th.

We could meet at the State Park Restaurant around 7:30 and maybe put $5 or $10 bucks each in a BIG FISH pot. We could come in around 3:00 and meet at the TREEHOUSE for beverages and burgers.

I would LOVE to participate--IF I make it back in time. Just found out my mother is having open-heart surgery up in Iowa on the 24th...

Great Idea Reel XTC. I think an outing would be the perfect thing between tournaments, especially in the summer. I would love to visit the Treehouse again. Choose a date and let us all. By the way, excellent job up there in South Dakota last week. You represented yourself, the MWAA, and the State of Missouri very well.

The PWT final tournament of the East, at Sault St. Marie, is August 24th-26th, so I'll know on the 27th if I'll be at the PWT Championship in Sept. at Milford Lake in Kansas

Looks like there are still three guys in the East that have a chance to spoil your party Image

I don't usually wish bad luck on anybody, but a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do...

I understand how the amateur points are tabulated, but I'm not sure how the Pro Angler of the Year points are tabulated, can you shed some light on that Gary?

AA,

The PRO points for each tournament are based on the % of the winning anglers total weight for the tournament. If you caught 15 lbs and the winning weight was 20 lbs, you would get 75 points for the tournament. So it's very important to catch fish every day.

Gary....I just knew you could be counted on to come up with a capital idea. It's good that the Tent Sale up in KC is that weekend. I had a potential conflict, but your choice is perfect. Put CW down for one of those modest size kegs to help cool things down after a hot day on the water.

If the crowd is not big enough to warrant a pony side, then cans will work...Cheers to SW Missouri's #1 Host. Image

Front Row...a small clarification if I may: although this will be a great warm up (who needs to "warm up" in Aughst?)for the MWAA September tournament, I am presuming the get together is for anybody on the forum, and MWAA membership is not a prerequisite.

Gary - thought it worked something like that, I guess the PWT site has some of the columns mixed up or something. I was looking at Bill Ortiz and he only got 34.95 points for Bull Shoals but he won it and got 100 points for Saginaw where he didn't do very well.

Mike...sorry to hear about you mom's surgery. We'll all be burning a candle for her rapid recovery. Don't cut short your time with Mom. We all know where your honey hole is, and we'll be glad to overfish it in your absence. That's what friends are for. Image

the PWT must have an error on Bill's points. Just look at Bobby Crow's points, he got 100 for Mobridge since he won it

http://www.in-fisherman.com/pwt/tournaments/05Angleroftheyear/

There's also an automatic invitation to the PWT Championship if you win a tournament but aren't in the top 30 Pros by points.

CW,

Membership in the MWAA would not be a requirement, if you're not a member then the requirement would be to share the GPS coordinates of fish caught with the REELXTC fishing team as your admittance ticket to the TREEHOUSE. Image

CW, thanks for offering up refreshments! Image
