Here is the whole story for a laugh

Post by Big John » September 26th, 2005, 11:32 am

At age 45 you would think............

You would think you that you have done all the DUMB things in your life and it is time to move on right............WRONG!!!
Last week while removing the new fascia and gutter (I put up wrong the first time) I was on the ladder about 3 rungs up pulling toward myself one of the fascia boards when it just plain let go, so I did my Peter Pan imitation and flew back wards off the ladder, pirouetting in the air and throwing the board and trying to plant a foot I stepped on a telepost slipped and fell on the gutters that were on the saw horses and the saw horse and finely on the ground. Several bruised ribs, a pulled hamstring, sprained ankle and re injured (all ready) bad back here I am. Doc gave me some Ibuprofen and said give it a rest for a few days, Little Ang said if I catch you on the ladder I am going to kick your butt. So what is a guy to do? The next day I got on the ladder gimping as I go, up on the roof to put up the drip edge, fascia and gutter, now comes the funny part when the wife gets home she said " I TOLD YOU NOT TO GO UP THAT #^$&%*$*#( LADDER!!!!" To which I replied " honey I didn't, I was in side here when I heard a noise outside I went out and the gutter was up, and I saw the neighbor and asked him what had happened he said it was leprechauns". "OH GUTTER LEPRECHAUNS HA?!" said she, Yes said I to which she replied "WHO PUT UP THE DRIP EDGE?" to which I replied drip edge Leprechauns of course.
Thats my story and I am sticking to it.
