What did you think of the fall season this year?

I never even got a bird this fall. Mistakes were part of it, but for the most part, I didn't hardly see any birds like usual. I can normally, get some patterned by seeing them cross fields at certain times and stuff like that, but with all these darn acorns on the ground, they never did come out of the woods the whole season.
I went once with my dad and we got into a flock of birds on some new land we got permission to hunt. He got his two birds that evening. We went back the next morning with them all busted up, and them crazy things never would come to a call. Thats another thing, they wouldn't come in to a call at all this fall. Last year thats all we did was call and they would come beboppin right in.
It was still fun hunting though, I just wish I coulda got one. Fried turkey breast is my fav
