Yep...fixin' to leave tomorrow afternoon when my boy gets in from school. Gonna set up early camp on the Current River down at the Logyards. Rest of the group will get there after all the work is done. As usual.

Wish I was out in the woods, saw two nice BIG buck standing with does this morning on my way to work. I feel sick, maybe its a fever... buck that is. get to the woods boys its buck killing time. see ya Tuesday...LP

I'm headin out tomorrow mornin. Of all the stupid dam things... I'm headin south for gun season. Don't make no dam sense I'm tellin ya, but that's where a couple of my buddies wanna do deer camp. I'll be a ways south of Springfield down in Taney county. Oh well, at least with the fellas I'm goin with... it oughta be fun.

I leave for K.C. today. Gonna duck hunt S. of there tomorrow morning, then drive to Grundy co. for goat camp tomorrow afternoon.

If things go well, I'll be back to killin' ducks on Mon.

Everybody get bloody, and be careful doing so.

I will get to deer camp tonight and hunt through Monday. then back to work until second weekend. Everybody have a safe and successful hunt.

Barring my wife going into labor at legal shooting time tomorrow, my son and I will be out there. (Actually even if she does go into labor, she'll have to wait a little bit, at least until 6:30.)

Hobie, why in the world are you coming down to Taney county when you have great hunting up in your neck of the woods...Me, I'm coming up a little past Centralia to hunt. Everyone have a great time and be safe..

There is three of us in the party. We're all good friends, have been since college. We're all from SWMO. We all spent alot of time around that area huntin and fishin. Two of us live up here in Columbia now. One lives in Springfield. The vote was 2-1 for this location... I guess it's an "old stompin grounds" type of thing??



Oh well, it oughta be fun.

I was out stalking some woods today with my 22. I saw more deer than squirrels. With this one little cool spell this morning, those deer were really moving. I surprised myself at how close I got to them while still hunting for the tree rats.
