Keep the chew, it sucks taking a chew after dressing a deer, much better before.

I wouldn't say never do it, but it's much better if you get the chew in before handling guts.

Kinda like fishing. It's better to eat a sammich first before putting the worm on your hook, but if your hungry, don't let worm goo stop you.
