Deer sheds, or deer stuff to speak of?

I found some freshly made Italian venison sausage in the fridge. That's deer stuff, ain't it ?

Is it worth talking about? Still good, or did it turn on you?

It's just fine. We made Italian and breakfast sausage the other day.

It's some fine scarfin'.

I actually have a back strap or two put away for summer grillin'.

I always freeze a couple / few gallon bags of stew meat to be ground thruoghout the year. The spices in the sausage go funky after a spell in the deep freeze.

I found a deer roast in the freezer yesterday morning.
Later I found it on the counter.
Then I found it in the oven.
Then it was on my plate.
This morning.....

I found some deer poop behind the house yesterday. I bet DMR could make something out of it.

I found the skull of an 8-point sammich buck (actually the whole skeleton) on my property. it wasn't there during firearm season. My best guess is that someone shot it on another property or the road and that it ran in and died on my property after being shot. I couldn't really tell because the coyotes got to it and all that was left was bone and a little bit of fur.

I also found a skull from a 4-point sammich buck the same day. It had been ion the woods for a while and the field mice found it. One side was completely gnawed off to the base. The other side still had the main beam and point but the second point had been chewed off. It look like it had been there for a year or two at least.

I found an 8 point sammich skull a couple weeks back as well.

PS, when did you shoot that one?

This was a regular old bologna sammich. I shoot submarine sammiches.
