The crazy weather has made the fishing on again off again, but lucky for us this weekend it's looking like it's on again. Lots of nice Walleye have been caught below the Dam. Glow in the dark Slab Hunter as well as white and chartreuse curly tails have been the hot bait. Crappie have been hitting well, but we're not talking the spawn yet. Some folks are starting to find them in shallow water though, and with this nice weather and recent rain it will only get better. In addition, I took my kids to the Lost Valley Hatchery and currently the kids fishing there is as good as it gets. They actually provide everything you need free of charge and if your little ones can so much as press the button and then reel them in, they will have a ball, literally catching one fish after the other until they're tired. So if you have cabin fever or you are tired of hearing your kids complain of how bored they are during spring break, get out of the house and come see us and we will try to help you catch the big one.
