I'm not going to get drawn, it's almost a sure thing. And I hate bad news on my birthday. Image

I don't think that's it. It's the presents. I feel like I've aged 3 yrs in the last couple days, but it's worth it. Image

I applied for #48...Babler ML hunt

Still have never been drawn for managed hunt. Been applying for at least 5 years now, tried applying for different places with better odds, but somehow, I have still never been drawn.

I put in for Columbia Bottoms. I have applied since they started managed hunts there and havent been picked yet. In 9 years of appling for managed hunts I have only been picked once and that was about 7 years ago.

I usually get drawn for at least 1 or 2 every year. Usually apply to 15 or so. But like usual... I doubt I'll go to any of'em.

Snake if you get drawn, I'm sneakin' in the Chateau and pissing on every floor.

I've been applying for 8yrs and have yet to get drawn for anything. It's darn lucky I'm a heck of a hunter, and can usually get buy without it, but somebody is rigging these draw hunts, and I get the bloody chit-covered AIDS end of the stick every time.

And I won't get drawn this yr either, just you watch, fuggers. Image

I put in for the modern rifle hunt at Prairie Forks Creek in Callaway county. I haven't put in for a managed hunt in ages, but thought I would give it a try this year just for the heck of it. I could care less if I get drawn or not.

I wish they had more youth hunts - or any youth hunts for 9 year olds for that matter. The few youth hunts they have - you have to be 11.

I and 3 other friends put in for Columbia Bottoms (Oct 1 - Oct 20). I have been applying for 10 years and was drawn once for CB (3 years ago). It is an awesome place to hunt (except for the traffic on 270 getting there) and 3 of the 4 of us got bucks last time. I got a nice 9 pointer and the other 2 guys got nearly identical 8 pointers. Lots of big deer out there.

Good Luck to all who applied Image

Stand height depends on cover, terrain, and the hunters ability to keep himself from breaking into the "hokey pokey" at peak hunting times.

I agree, you are no tree squirrel. Hardly a match for ground squirrels really. Image Image

It could only help if you carried a sane sized pack.
