Stockton was a bit breezy, fishing pressure was fairly heavy. Bite was lite. We did pull in about 5 blacks each at around 13 inchs, 4 keeper whites and 2 good crappies. Lot of short soft hits we finaly figured out was the crappies in about 12 feet of water about 4 feet down. Thought they were small whites at first. Whites all went 1 1/2-2lbs.
Big covey of quail on the bank and a turkey hen dusting garys hood with her tail(literaly) on the way up made things even more interesting...lol

That could have been an expensive lunch if she had been a little slower.
Don't forget about the Heron that nabbed his lunch in front of us or the Fish Eagle taking his fish back to the nest.
You don't see that sitting at home.

Yeah that looked like a 2 pound white that stupid heron choked down...lol I beleive we made them fish eagles just a bit nervous to sitting on that tower above us.
You know, if we had had some grain and bourbon whiskey we might of got some quail for supper to!...lol
Was'nt calling for rain we might do another evening trip next week.
Wonder if that hens bunghole has unpuckered yet? You know thats all that kept her from decorateing your truck hood...lol

Keep and eye on the weather. If we hit a day that's kinda dry and no fireworks I'm game or gamey or something like that.
Might even get the "no shows" to go
