Truman 4/17

Post by safetybass » April 18th, 2004, 3:31 am

Mixed bag of strange bites. Some males moved up(crappie), some males stayed out 8-10 feet down in 14-16 feet of water. One big female was about 4 feet down in 14 feet. Lot of fish showing on electronics; most had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign flashing. Water temps were in low to mid sixties. Black/chartreuse jig tipped with minnow. Lost a catfish at the boat, or I would have had five species. Heard a report of a couple of guys limiting up near Sparrowfoot, fish on the bank, all males. It will bust loose any day.

we fished right around there this weekend too, males on the banks, but hard to come by and few fish really moved in.i got 10 over 2 days and my father inlaw got 12 from the banks. lots of people fishing for them, just not many fish to be had.
The Doctor said I should drink more whiskey. Also, I'm calling myself 'The Doctor' now.
