Stockton Sat. afternoon

We put in at Ruark Sat. afternoon, hoping that maybe some of the crowd would thin out a little. WRONG!
Worked the windy points etc. looking for whites and hoping to find a stray crappie but no luck. Finally got tired of fighting the wind and moved to the other side of the coves. Finally found some crappie not a lot but for the most part they were big enough you didn't have to measure to see if they were legal or not.
We also found the wallys were moving. Had a bunch that were short and I don't know how many that were 14 3/4".
Enough that we got to looking to make sure we weren't catching the same one all the time.
The first crappie spot a guy and gal run in and dropped there anchor right on top the crappie and that finished it there.
So we moved on and found another place with crappie and more wallys. 2 guys kept trying to get between us and the bank and sure messed the fishing up. Although we had a nice mess of fish we could have probably caught a lot more and the catching was what we were interested in as we already had enough to eat.
When we found fish they would be around something small in the water usually just a single limb laying off the bank.
Most were caught on white jigs or black and white. A few came on minnows.
