Hey, BB - Many moons ago I used to go to place in Rolla called Chub-N-Joes. I think it was in the old downtown area. You ever hear of it? It still there. Some of the best Biscuits and Gravy in the Universe...

... That Kinda phrase make me feel like I aint in such a bassackward hick town after all Image

Chub-N-Joes is no longer in bidness. 'Know what ya mean though, a good rib felt biscuit and gravy order is a hard thing to find these days.

McD's makes a better gravy than me... Now my wife can make a mean gravy, but it will never be perfect since she will not use good ol' bacon grease.

If she don't make gravy the right way, she ain't worth keeping around. Unfortunately, my wife don't make gravy right either. She buys them damn packs of powder and it still turns out lumpy. I'm a gravy-making fool. I probably would've ditched her years ago, but she's awful good in the sack.

My bar-be-cue is better than Johnnys and my wife is such a great cook I have a hard time spending money at any resturant for food that isn't as good as what I can get at home...

I have always had a hard time spending money on restaurant food.. I chalk it up more as a wife tune-up, makes her happy to be taken out.

I used to stay at Zeno's motel and eat in their steakhouse. Great steaks but pricey for a hick town(sorry BB) like Rolla.

sharps4590,

I have the same problem. Wifey is a damn fine cook. I found that the going out to eat is more to get the her out the kitchen for one night than anything else.
