Anyone been down there after these warm rains and warm weather? I plan on being down there in the next day or two, and I'm hoping that things will be about ready to bust loose.

My dad and I fished down at Beaver Creek this evening
(3-25-07) and did not have much luck with the white bass. The water level is really quite high, and you can easily run a boat well above the "tin whistles" , and could probably run all the way up to the HWY 160 bridge if you were brave enough. As for ourselves, we were bank fishing at about the second or third bend up from the mouth of Beaver Creek. We fished for about two hours before sunset, and stayed till about a half hour after dark. All we had to show for it was two scrawny little males that barely measured 6 inches each. There was close to 30 people scattered up and down the banks, and around 10 boats in the water, and we only saw 9 or 10 fish caught during that entire time. ALL OF THE FISH WE SAW BEING CAUGHT WERE THESE LITTLE 5-6 INCH MALE WHITES. Not a single person caught one of the larger females. There were lots of fish seen jumping, and lots of males seen chasing the females...
...so the fish are definitely there. If the weather holds and the warm rains cooperate, we could see some phenomenal fishing very very soon. I will be back down here in a couple of days to try it again.

It is a little early for the big female bite, even with the warm early spring. I usually don't see them in Swan/Beaver until mid April. I am not suprised you got into the small males though.

In any case, it is really hard to time the good fishing periods on Swan and Beaver- there have been many years where I get there the day after mayhem breaks loose and all that is left are the carcasses on the banks.

The bite down there is only a fraction of what it used to be. There was a massive die off a few years ago and the lake hasn't recovered yet.
