NWTF-Wheelin' Sportsman Dove hunt for disabled at Ten Mile P

The NWTF Wheelin Sportsmen Dove Hunt will be held on September 2 at Ten Mile Pond, and they're looking for hunters to take advantage of this opportunity. This hunt is not limited to wheelchair bound individuals. People with other disabilities that limit their abilities are encouraged to participate as well. The volunteers will help you into the field and get you set up in a good spot, retrieve your birds, help spot if you can't twist around to see what's coming etc. A great bunch of guys willing to do what it takes provide a safe, fun and successful hunt.
There's always lots of birds there, but not enough hunters to keep them on the move. I've had lots of birds land just out of range and I'd sit there and watch them wishing there was someone down the field from me to get 'em back up. There's normally six or less hunters, but they'd really like to have twenty.

Some details;

Steel Shot shells provided. (They always have 12ga, but if you shoot something else I'd suggest mentioning it when you talk to them).

Refreshments provided.

NWTF Volunteers and Staff will assist hunters.

Shooting hours per Ten Mile Pond Area Regulations, shooting ends at noon.

We would like to have 20 shooters if possible.

Usually this early in the season, there are plenty of birds and lots of fun and opportunity for the hunters.

Some people obviously won't know for sure whether they can make it until the end of August, but still feel free to give them a call and express your interest.

Hunting License and Migratory bird card is needed by hunters that are of age.
