…figured we could have one of our own.

I’ve not yet determined what the prize will be but see no reason not to let the games begin.

See the attached….this buck has been official scored by a certified B&C & P&Y scorer.

Guess the gross and net score. The difference for each will be tabulated then combined for a total difference. Whoever is closest wins.

Good Luck.

Got any pics from better angles?

Nope. Just these chitty cell phone pic's. Though, besides resolution of the pics, I'd say the pic's include ample reference points and plain view of the points to wager a good guess.

You prefer someone to stand in the photo with a tape measure for reference?

Hey brown eye...start your contest in another thread. :swat:

Better yet, wager a guess. If you win I'll make the prize extra special…just for you.

Shows what you know. Those are both from bad angles, looking down the tine length, instead of showing full length from a more or less 90 degree perspective.

I guess I'll start.

Since I’m apparently nescient in these matters…I’ll help you out so you don’t come across as such.

Your way off…maybe 2 years ago.

Does this help? BTW…a bow kill opening morning of rifle season.

WM, I think you're off by about 2 weeks. I'm gonna guess it was taken opening morning of rifle season. That's an educated guess, judging from the angle of the sun relative to the overall condition of the foliage in the pictures, in regards to their natural deterioration over the course of the fall & winter. Also, if you take note of the hair near the antler bases, knowing approximately the latitude where the buck lived, you can determine that he was very much within the heat of the rut and has been rubbing various deciduous trees and a few evergreens. That is typical of a 3.5-4.5 y.o. buck's behavior around November 14-20.

Or you could just read Toby's post saying when it was killed. That would work, too.

Uh Huh…you can add that one to your soon to publish book of excuses. Though ironically the dog will eat it just before publishing.

Two guesses down and you’re still getting beat. Hell you may as well guess again.
