I`ll give you my take on this SAMCRO, but it`s just my opinion as I have no experience with Lone Wolf. First of all I would never purchase anything from Lone Wolf simply because I don`t like the way they market their product. (yeah I`m that shallow) Apparently their treestands are very good. With the price you have to pay for one they better be. That`s my first problem. I hate the fact that their high priced stands have a built in bow holder in the platform, but it is useless without the rubber grommet that you must purchase seperately for an additional $15. I also don`t like the attitude of alot of internet hunters that act as if you are incompetent if you aren`t sitting in a Lone Wolf stand. Speaking of attitude, I never could stomach former owner Andre D`Aquisto (or whatever his name is). Yeah I really am that shallow, but I decided along time ago that I wasn`t giving this company any of my money.

Having told you that...if I had your money I would look at the Chippewa Wedge Loc. I`ve only seen advertisements, and Jay Gregory use them on his show. I don`t know alot about them other than that. This would be my choice for a new stand. A friend of mine bought one of the new Summit Raptor series, and likes it. Alot of guys talk about the Millineum stand, but it looks to me like the seat is way too low on it. I don`t sit much anyway, but if you do then I would think it would be hard to stand up easily. The seat looks comfortable though. These three stands all have adapters that stay in the tree (if you want), and you just have to slip your stand into the adapter. That`s much the same as the Versa Button on the Lone Wolf, but as I said before Lone Wolf isn`t in the running for a treestand for me. So there you have it. My opinion (which doesn`t mean squat) is that there are more (better?) options out there.

I agree marketing is what it is, however that was just plain deception. They advertised a built-in bow holder, but it was useless without the rubber grommet. It appears that you already had your answer before you even typed your original post. You usually cover all the bases. Seriously I don`t think you will have any regrets with the Lone Wolf. Just make sure your boots aren`t slick when you start to climb those sticks.

Save your money and buy yourself 70 or 80 acres where you can hang a stand every 150 yards. Then, once the season begins, you can get all 10 kinds of confused as to where you should be hunting.

I hunt from the ground. Stands are for hunters who can't face down the animal you're killing.

I have a climber. I went up a tree with it just after I got it 2 years ago. Haven't touched it since.

Why in all hell do you hunt from the ground Rafe? I mean, you look like a puss and I know I could whip the piss out of you, but why in the hell won't you climb a tree?

I'll bet you one thing. If the Snake was madder than hell and chasing you down to give you a fist full, you'd be finding the nearest tree in a heartbeat. I'd slither up that thing and kick your ass out of it too.

Listen, jackhole. I killed the first one from the ground and the 2nd from a stand.
