...will be nice next year, too. He has good G2's. He broke his brow pretty early in the season. Had him in front of me twice. I think he's gay because both times he had a little six-point with him. I named him Dave because of that.

I've never heard of a gay Dave.
Seems like all of those bucks have the same genetics regarding antler shape and size.

This is Missouri, Dave. Their family tree probably doesn't have any branches.
They seem to stay 8-points. There's a nice 9-point that was the buck I wanted, but other than that, you're right. The 9-point managed not to travel in the day much, except for when I was on the deck having a cup of coffee before heading out to work. Or the three times he was on camera the week I had to go visit my in-laws.
Can you spot him in this awesome cell-phone shot I took?

I was sitting there drinking a cup of coffee.

He's heading right to you.
I also thought the same regarding genetics in the old backyard. Two types of buck anlters, tall tight racks with mass, or very wide short racks with no mass. No tall wide bucks with mass, which is the kind I prefer.

Backyard bucks are where it's at. I see deer so often now, I no longer give a chit.

Keep them in corn around the yard in the off season, and you'll see them all at one time or another. I liked seeing them much better than checking game cams.
Cool stuff Craig, enjoy it.

Now you are understanding the way I feel.

I'm keeping them fed, Dave. Pretty entertaining, but they eat a lot. Whatever I put down is gone the next morning. This is my first year with a trail cam, and it's changed the way I think on a lot of things. They are powerful tools.

M100, and I'm not impressed. Returned 3 times for failures. First one had a mark on the lens that put a black dot on each photo. Second one quit working, would stop taking pictures. Third quit taking IR shots. This one is doing the same. I watched deer in front of it two evenings ago, and no pics. They ate five pounds of corn overnight, yet nothing.
Thinking I need to switch brands. It has a small screen so you can view pics without removing the card, and the IR shots are great. The cam itself is smaller than your hand. Wish there was another like it.

SC, I had looked at that camera and the reviews were not that good. I guess I'll look for a different model. I need to take some pics of the cougars around here.

Yes another gay reference from the one who says he never does that.

I do believe you also referenced Dave as gay in his Lone Jack attire last week...so there is actually a weekly reference from the one who doesn't do that. Just sayin.
Combine that with that oversized monster truck avatar and all of the chest thumpin and I think the closet door is opening wider than your ass cheeks Sammy

The M80 is basically the same camera, minus a couple of features, so I'm not surprised. I looked at a lot of online reviews to see if these problems were things that other people were experiencing, and I only found good reviews.
I don't know, but I know that I'm probably going to have to exchange it for something different. I'd like a Reconyx, but for the price of one, I can have 2 or 3 other brands. Don't know if I want to spend that much for something I leave out on a tree. We'll see.
Put it out again yesterday, and it did fine last night.
This buck always looks like he has a chew in:
