The Tick Farm continues to produce and this season was exceptionally good to me. Saturday I hunted for the first day and dropped my biggest ever. He was a 26 lb'er with 1.3 inch spurs and 10.25 inch beard. Killed him at 12:02. Saw him at about 300 yd., stalked to within 100 yd., then called him the rest of the way.

Today (Monday) I passed on a flock of 5 jakes, with the hopes of something bigger coming along. I was calling aggressively to screw around with the jakes, when a gobbler came by ready for love. The jakes ganged up on him and ran him out of the timber and into the field. A yelp from the mouth call got him to stop and stick his head up and that was the end of him. 24 lb., 1.1 inch spurs, 10.0 inch beard.

Now I gotta try to get Garner tagged out in between baseball tournaments.
