Deer kill near Springfield

Friend was of mine called last night telling a story that was amazing. Seems a guy with a muzzleloader was walking and scared up a deer somewhere between Everton and Ash Grove. Well he shot it as it didnt run much over 30 yards from where he spooked it. If I remember all of the facts, it was a 23 point and scored the first time 210 and the second time 212....Didnt know if TT had heard of this deer. My friend eats breakfast with the guy supposedly killing the buck.

Old guys are allowed to eat breakfast with other old guys. Preferrably, they meet at a mom & pop greasy spoon diner somewhere and talk about the weather and politics and local issues and how the world's going to hell and them kids now-a-days. It's traditions like this that happen tens of thousands of times all around the country every day that make the world go around. One of these days, SAMCRO will be an old man and will partake in such activities.

Rafe was a close observer of this routine as a child. My grandpa would take my brother & me to Rita's Diner in Greenfield, IL when Grandma wasn't home. Every morning I drive past the Bradbury Bishop Diner in Webb City, MO and witness this phenomenon. Sunrise/sunset. Just let it be because it will be.

I don't eat breakfast with men unless it's in a outfitter tent hell high in the mountains for elk camp, nor have I heard of a big deer.

And those men probably watch you out of the corner of their eye, whispering things behind your back, wondering if they get stranded on that mountain which one of them you`re going to butcher, and eat first.

The obvious answer is to butcher the biggest eater, which you would know if you would eat breakfast with them. Knowing your quarry is half the battle. The other half is watching your back for queers and cannibals, while not eating too much for breakfast in the company of other men.
