This is sad....

Post by Outdoorsfool » November 12th, 2010, 12:00 pm

The day before firearms season opens up and not a single post on the deer board about it.....last post was 10 days ago? :howdy:

I'll tell you just how excited I am...I haven't even bought my firearms tag yet. Got a really nice buck last year, don't intend to shoot one this year and I know by 10:00 am tomorrow morning I'll be out of my stand and all pissed off stalking some f-ing road hunter. Geez-us...this is deer hunting in Missouri, get out of your truck and put out just the slightest bit of effort. :banghead:

Anyway...good luck to all you that are going to brave the madness. :m16:

Kill something ODF, you'll feel better.

Withh as many shots as I heard last Saturday at sun up, I was wondering if I had the dates wrong.

It sounded like the locals filled their tags yesterday at about sunset.
Carrying a gun isn't about killing.
It's about staying alive.

Yes, be safe out there boys. Hope to see some success pics and read some stories on Monday. Heck, hope to be posting a pic and telling a story of my own!!! Probably just taking the stick and string again this year, hopefully I won't regret that come Sunday night!

I'm telling you....between the nice deer I got last year, knowing I'm going to have to deal with a bunch of idiot road hunters and trespassers and calling for rain in the morning, I just can't get excited about gun season this year.

I'm packing the smoke pole tomorrow, just to make it interesting and keep some challenge in it.

Good luck boys and be safe!!

Oh yeah...I feel your pain Warmouth....mom said she's been hearing shots since Tuesday morning.

I'm not even going until next Friday, and heading up to Kirksville for 4 days. Good luck.

It's pouring down rain here in KC and I just know that the dirt (now mud) road to my hunting place is going to be impassible to all but the biggest monster trucks. That means for me a long hike early tomorrow down the mud road and into my hunting ground.

I almost have the same dread as ODF, except this kind of weather seems to not affect the big bucks on my place.
