Deer camp

Post by RB » November 14th, 2014, 8:07 am

Have not seen any talk on here about rifle season or deer camp this year. Who is going where and what do you do for deer camp. We have had deer camp on our farm for a long time now and its an event all the guys look forward to. Lot's of good grub and tall tales of the days hunt. I am sitting this year out due to rotator cuff surgery last month. It's still going to be a good time and looks like the weather will be great for the first time in a long time. Good luck to everyone and hunt safe.

Heading down to the farm in Pulaski Co. Camp is always at Mom and Dad's place. Pretty nice to stay at a house with all modern amenities. It'll be me and my Dad, along with one of our buddies that always joins us from St. Louis. The other is not able to join us due to work this year, so my buddy and his boy that hunted with us in youth season will be back trying to punch the young man's tag. Always good food, usually some friendly card playing and sharing stories from years past. The area I am hunting has been completely untouched all year. I went up there to hang a stand youth season and it was torn up with buck sign, including some king sized rubs, so I am hoping leaving it alone will pay off tomorrow!!! Good luck all, be safe, and wear your harness!!!
