Another Sammich

Well, I managed to whack one yesterday morning after 4 days of hunting. I had seen quite a lot of buck activity (rubbing and scraping) over the last few days. I have only hunted sparingly, however. I passed a shot opportunity on a nice 8 on Friday morning because of a broken G2. Yesterday I had what I thought was that buck come in on me about 9:00 a.m. I didn't even grab my bow. Then, I realized he was a little better deer. A 10 pointer at least. So, I watched this deer make 4 scrapes and rub every tree in the woods it seemed. He worked a couple does as well. Finally gave me a shot and I pulled it a bit. 30 yard spine shot. Didn't go anywhere and died. High lungs into the spine. Anyway, he was the biggest MO deer I have ever killed (227# FD). His rack isn't that great but it is OK. I figure 130 gross. Will probably be short of P&Y due to the fact that he has a short G4 on his right side. Still a great deer.
