I keep going on fishing trips and keeping the freezer full. The others are still alive until I run low.

I've been trying to do short float fishing trips every weekend for the last month. Fishing has been OK and have been finding arrowheads on gravel bars which are a bonus.

We have been trying that on the Piney and Gasconade but the southern rains keep messing everything up.

This is the first summer in some time where our lake has been up to the overall flow pipe all summer. Should be a good year for the little ones.

I've been floating rivers and creeks in the Osage River Basin- they have avoided the glut of rainfall that has happened further east.

There are some nice ones in there. We stocked a bunch of hybrids four years ago that are getting really nice. Quite a few bass in the 4 to 5 lb range and a lot of big channel cats. Very easy to catch fish there especially in the morning and evening. Buddy's son caught two huge bass last summer in about five minutes. Where the heck have you been snake?

Gary just you and Mike fished. That was after all the storms.

I had forgotten how bad the storms were before I showed up- was a pretty nice evening by the time I got there.

We eventually had to put gravel on the lake road because it got so rutted from people getting stuck. The fish have gotten a lot bigger.
