Need new deer hunting truck

Post by N2OUTDOORS » July 20th, 2004, 6:04 pm

Image It has been a while since I have posted, but could use some advice.

I sold my old 1979 Chevy 4X4 truck to a duck hunter last year Image and am in need of a new deer hunting vehicle that can still haul a family of four comfortably down our four wheel drive accessible only road to our farm in Washington County.

Any of you folks seen the Nissan Titan commercials?

What do you think of them?

As usually comments from the CCGC and WAS will be given the attention they deserve Image.

WTF, look who crawled out from under a rock. Welcome back N2. Mobuck and Robin both drive Toyota's. Being's Toyota is the BP truck of the year and sponser. I am sure you can't go wrong. I still like my 90 Full-Size with 4inch lift, and 35inch mud eaters ( when it's running ). Image

It's your money, buy what you will be happy with I say. Drive a few trucks and see what you are after when you finish. A lot of things here to consider like fuel milage, warranties, payload and price.
Shop around and don't buy because of some commercial. i myself want a full size Ford four door deisel but my pocket book is spending money on other items needed for our photography that my wife and i are trying to get going.

Does the stereo work, is this the kinda truck you can get some in, does it have a tailgate, how many neighbors will it wake up when you head out at 4:30 in the mornin, how many motor upgrade stickers are on it... These are the important question you need to ask yourself.

Also don't forget about how many beer can holders it has up front versus the back. My Trailblazer has a place in the back that will hold two cases on ice! The Avalanche has two compartments on the quater panels that hold beer pretty good.

Let us know what you choose so we can check on the beer compartments and try them out. don't worry about what Horntagger says, he is just a poor ole boy that can't buy new toys.

I used to be on the American bandwagon, but got tired of American quality. My Toyota is built in Indiana, good enough for me.

I really like those Titans. Just bought my wife a Nissan and gave the Titan a good look. The interior is incredible. Lots of hp and plenty of room. Didn't drive one, so can't say how they ride.

Good Morning Fellas,

Well...I broke down and bought the new Titan SE, which has a 5.6 liter engine that produces 305HP, 5 speed automatic tranny and gets 14/18 MPG. It has 4 wheel drive/off road package, "Big Tow" package (9000 lbs), sprayed in bed liner with a neat cargo tie down system/bed divider. They gave me a 7 year/70,000 mile warranty for an additional $1800.

Like Robin said the interior is real nice and roomy. I got the King cab, which is not as roomy as the Crew cab, but gives you 13 more inches in the bed Image. I also wanted the front bench seat, so it can take 2 tall adults and 4 kids. The back doors open up 168 degrees.

It has higher ground clearance than Ford, Chevy, Dodge and really drives like a dream...very smooth, peepy acceleration, with a throaty exhaust.

ImageBB...yes the stereo works and comes with 8 speakers and a 6 disc CD with control on the steering wheel Image. The tail gate came standard Image.

DMR...This truck is assembled in Canton, MS, engine built in Smyrna, TN, styling in San Diego, CA and engineered in Farmington Hills, MI...sounds like a lot of Americans are getting paychecks from Nissan Image.

I just hope it last for many years, as I don't buy new vehicles very often. I usually drive about 8,000 miles a year and at that rate it will take me over 32 years to reach the miles that Horntagger got on his Nissan.

N2: I'm not sure which of those I was looking at, the crew or the king, but the sticker price on that thing was like 38000 dollars. Of course, it had some handy dandy something or another in the bed of the truck that I have never seen before. I will say this, it was sharp, and I did like the interior.

Image 2B...you might need a step ladder to climb in, but I bet you could sit in the back seat and your knees still wouldn't hit the front seats Image.
