2004 Season Dates

Post by JimDog » March 9th, 2004, 12:17 am

When do they usually announce the season dates? Do you think the fact that they are considering alternative rules, that it may push back the release of season dates? My brother from Colorado is bringing his son out here to hunt this fall, and was asking if I heard everything. I never paid attention to when they released the season dates. Think the idea of pushing back rifle season has a change of succeeding?
A clear conscience is the sign of a bad memory.

JD - I was looking at their website yesterday for the same thing an all they had for season dates was "pending commission approval." I'd say we will know something in the next few weeks. Image

Wasn't it May last year before they released the dates?

I have not actually seen the date posted anywhere, but suspect that rifle season will start on November 13th.

So they really are thinking about moving the date of opening morning???
I know I probly should know this by now but how will that help the season any?? Isn't it making you hunt AFTER the rut?
Just a wondering.

I have it on good authority that they are waiting for the summary reports on all of the input John Q. Public gave at all of those meetings they had. Once they have that information and really know what the deer hunters of Missouri want, they'll make a determination as to dates.

If that little fantasy scenario makes any of you feel better about the evening of your life that was wasted, I'm glad to have helped... Image Image Image Image

Guys, there may be major changes for some zones this year. check out the MDC webpage for the options. they may not affect your zone but they may have a major change in how you hunt.
