Dude, Tom was known as the sammich killer.
Get the point. Either pass on those little fellers, or quit talkin.
An educated feller like yourself should understand that. You spin more than a journalist after a debate.

David: Like I said, I thought it was a 130" deer when I shot it. I didn't know how many points it had. I had about 2 seconds to react and I did. I'm not making any excuses and would do it over more than likely given the same situation. I'm not going to pass on a 130" deer ever. With a gun, sure. With a bow, likely never. PS

BTW, you are the one that made up the term sammich. Not us. And, he still is a sammich killer. Image

BTW David, there is not a dude on this board that has killed enough 130" deer to be passing on 130"s. Not a single person.

You still remind me of the brothers I used to box down on south broadway. You come in dancin' all over the place. By the time the final bell rings, your lookin for your mouth piece on the canvas. Lo and behold your talkin' on your way out.
Sure brings back memories.
Welcome back to earth.

David,

I believe that was me giving you a hard time about bragging on whacking a button. It is your hunting area, so you can do what you want. But, my point still remains that if you kill the little ones...even the buttons they can't grow to be big ones. Now big is different for all of us...maybe a button is a big buck to you...I don't know. I personally let those walk and try to take something a little bigger...like the one that I killed Monday. I would show you if I knew how to put a stinking pic on here.

Counts: Just a few months back you had to make mention of the fact that I had never killed a 150" deer. I wasn't even the jist of conversation as usual. You simply felt you had to make mention of it in light of Tom's big deer. I kindly reminded you that I had done so. You talk about me talking stuff up. I have killed 150s, 140s, 130s, and 120s, and even a 5 pointer with a bow. Does that make me a good hunter. Nope (a product of a good hunting area), but, you put a deer in front of me, and it will die. I fully know I shot a sammich buck, so STFU while you are ahead. PoisonSnake

Shawn, I don't shoot buttons as a rule. My point is that if your expert vision can easily tell a button from a yearling doe, and your looking for a 160 class buck, and you shoot a 125ish buck, then your a blow hard punk. I have watched this for too many years from him and expect him to be accountable for his bull crap spewing. I layed off of him last year. And believe me there are more mature deer running around in urban St Louis County than anywhere in Missouri. I been chasing them hard. Congrats. on your harvest.

Counts: How many times do I have to tell you I had seen a 10 twice previously and thought it was this deer. I'm still looking for a 160". You see, that was a joke knowing I would never see one even with a gun in hand. I can tell you when you have a deer going by you and you put yourself into a bind like I did, you don't count points. I thought it was a 130" deer and I shot. So STFU. Last year I knew better than to shoot on my first buck and I did it anyway. Stupid as hell. This year, I shot and make no excuses for it. I was and am disappointed, but oh well. Truth is, I will continue to kill big deer. I will also continue to kill small ones every now and again. And, you will continue to be a dipchit. PoisonSnake

True enough. But, I made a hell of a shot on him. That is the only positive thing to come of this. Knowing I can still shoot 40 yard shots.
