REFORM Muzzleloading hunt

Post by davemo » December 13th, 2004, 3:14 pm

I was drawn for the managed hunt at reform the weekend of 12.18.2004. Was anyone else drawn for this hunt? I scouted(somewhat) the area and cant really decide on one spot; man there are deer tracks and paths almost everywhere. The area looks really good but was hard to pattern in 3 or 4 hrs if anyone has any advice for me fire away i can use all i can get., Image

I didn't even know there was a managed hunt out at Reform. When did they start that? There are a ton of deer out there man. Good luck with that. Wish I had known they had one out there, I'd have tried my luck as well!!!

OK, nevermind, I found it. Man I am sorry I missed out on that one. Should be a pretty good hunt out there. I must say though, I am sorry to see them letting any gun hunters out there, but I am glad it is at least muzzleloaders.

Well we hunted reform today.I saw none buddy saw 2.i did see 1 turkey tho.Ya know there HAS to b deer in that place but darn they are hard to find.We did make a couple of mistakes looking back on the hunt.1> we should have scouted alot better than we did and 2 i should have hung a tree stand LOL that stuff is thick!!!! I am thinking now that the deer are bedding in the various thickets and brier fields that most folks dont hunt.I didnt notice many shots either .I am gonna scout that place again in march just to check the WHOLE area out.
