13/14 March Crappie

Fished 13th at Thomas Hill fished three hours and partner had caught two. Fished the next hour and we caught 21 more with jigs vertically fishing. Windy and hard to hold in the wind, but salvage the day with 23 fish 10-11 inches long each. A tough day of fishing and bite was very soft. Fished the 14th at LOZ and similiar but slightly different. Fished four hours and we had three keepers, last hour caught 15 more with jig and minnows. 10-15 feet down over brush. Soft bites hard to detect. A couple of good strings but difficult fishing none the less. Threw back about 20-30 non keepers each day. Supposed to snow tonight!!! 65 degree water at Thomas Hill, 45 degree water at LOZ, water level low in both locations.

I could not catch a decent crappie at MTL the 13th or 14th to save my life. I am hoping to learn something on Wednesday night Bruce!

Current report was to be in lick creek over the weekend, fishing preety good for crappie. Fill the boat up when you go fishing now and keep moving up the creeks until you find the fishable waters. Lick Creek was the better. Good luck.
