Hunting shed antlers.

Post by Warmouth » February 22nd, 2005, 11:56 am

I walked, searched, and hunted for the elusive shed deer antler this weekend at Longview Lake. 4 hours worth of walking has lead me to believe that when deer shed their Image, they eat them.

I found some monster rubs, giagantic even, but not one shed. Image

I will try to get out again, but I did see bucks that still had their racks at the park. I have seen some bucks in my back yard that have shed already, but on this trip I was denied.

Anyone else looking?

Unless a buck walks into our new house and sheds them in the living room, I'll find it, otherwise no.

Was thinking about going on a trek for em this weekend but ended up taking my 3 year old daughter fishing. She caught three. The last two she reeled them in all by herself. I was proud. She don't mind holding them but I can't seem to get em away from her before she feeds em to the dog. The dog walked around for two hours with that fish's tail hanging out of his mouth.
