Deer fight

Post by Warmouth » March 16th, 2005, 10:55 am

I saw a pretty spectacular buck fight last night. Two bucks that I would guess were 3yr olds, got up on back legs and were kicking the crap out of each other for well over 1 minute. I couldn't believe how long they could keep their balance while giving and taking some serious shots. They left quite a bit of hair in the yard this morning.

If I'm right it's two bucks that were running together last year. One is more red and tall, the other is dark and more stocky. This time the stocky buck won. I really wish I had gotten it on video, it was pretty awesome.

Nope, none of the 5 bucks that were in the group had Image.

JimDog, that is excactly how it was, but with no racks. It was brutal, and much longer than the video you put up. Those suckers have excellent balance.

I'm about done shed hunting though, I got tore up in the briar patch last time. I know there are a couple decent bucks around, and that is what I wanted to find out.

Its getting to be fishing season ya know.

I saw a little playful sparring like that last turkey season. A truck on a nearby road spooked 7 deer across the pasture. When they finally stopped they were about 50 yards from me. A couple of them got on their hind legs and started slapping each other around for a few seconds.
