I don't doubt that one bit. I used to fish it a lot when we lived on Ft. Wood, but now that we have a farm on the Gasconade, we don't hit the Piney much anymore. We always talk about it, but just end up back on the G-nade again.

The Gasconade is nice, smaller (wink) smallies on average than the Piney. But I normally get annoyed with all the moterboat traffic the Gasconade gets, it's not really big enough of a river for all that traffic. I like to use my boat to get to where I want to be, beach it, and then waid out for the smallies.

I hear you about the boats. That's why I like our part of the river when it gets to, or below normal pool. Our canoe goes places that those big Image, ugly, annoying, wave makin', river disturbing, niosy Image boats Image can't get to.

Just above where the Osage Fork and the Gasconade come together, there use to be some old cars cabled together to help hold the bank. We use to catch some really nice smallies out of there in the spring. You had to be quick or they'd run inside the old cars.

All in fun Bullitt. I'm a canoe guy, but I know that the jet guys have just as much right to be there. i don't mind them that much, they just get in my way sometimes Image

My biggest smally so far has come from the Piney Image

And my biggest one came from the Piney. The Little Piney.

Also got to see a pair of boobies on the Little Piney one day. Two teenage boys and a teenage girl from Newburg were playing in the creek and I guess they didn't know I was downstream around the corner. Pretty soon she had her top off.
Image WooHooo!!! Boobies!!

Fish the niangua and you'll get to see a LOT more then just boobies...lol
Come around a bend one time and came across a guy and a gal(with GREAT BIG BOOBIES) sitting there stark naked like they had been doing the Wild Thing. They seemed kinda surprized to see a boat with three guys in it less then 10 yards away. Yes she was a natural brunette...lol
Anyway they jumped up and run off and plopped down in about the biggest patch of nettles on the whole river!
Man was she mad and really giveing him what for(as she was scratching madly) when they came out a few minutes later. She had the idea he should of helped her up before running off and leaveing her sitting there by herself in full view...lol Kinda took awhile to get back to goggleye and smallie fishing...lol
Had about a 45 year old woman(good looking) and a guy half her age come floating down by us another time stark naked. They broke speed records for getting dressed when they finaly seen us tied up by a brushpile. She was a natural redhead...lol
