This is a good southern recipe.
1.5 - 2 lbs tenderloin of venison
Flour
Salt and pepper
Bacon drippings or oil
2 tablespoons flour
Milk
1 cup water
1 package dry onion soup mix
Cut steak into serving pieces. Dredge in flour which has been seasoned with salt and pepper. Heat bacon drippings in a skillet and brown meat. Remove meat, pour excess fat and stir 2 tablespoons flour into drippings. When flour is brown, stir in enough milk to make gravy. Dissolve soup mix in 1 cup water and add to skiller. Return meat to pan, cover and simmer 30 minutes over low heat.
