Last night, I talked to Kingfisher. It looks like he's gonna make it.

I done went and got in a scrape with a vine or two of poison oak. Got the chit all over my face. Just dropped 40 bones at Walgreen?s for some concoction that supposed to clear it up in less than 24 hours. (Zanfel) If I'm able to see out of at least one eye by tomorrow evening, I'll be there. Ol' Dud,

Just think of all the sympathy a crusty old fossil like yourself would get from all those young cuties.

Just don't milk it too hard, or I'll tell 'em it's Leprosy. Image Image

I tell you I have some chit right here that will clear that stuff up. 3 different vials of stuff. Pretty much the same thing in each. I don't know which works best. They are called Elocon, Elidel, and Diprolene. This chit works wonders... and such.

Is it possible to not be allergic? All the running around I do in the woods, and I have never had poison anything.

Counts,

I used to be able to roll around in the stuff as a kid. Anymore I get it pretty easy if I haven't been exposed to it in awhile. It seems after I get it the first time in the season ( spring ). I start to build some tolerance to it for some reason and don't get it very easy.

In my opinion and experience with it I would say yes.

Counts: Keith@aimlow bragged to have never had it either. That was until he sawed and ripped vines the size of my forearms off of an oak over in IL. He was hurting to the point that he had to see a doctor if I remember right. I kept telling him that if he doesn't get it I would be absolutely amazed. He was throwing that chit out of the tree and I was avoiding it like the plague. I don't like to get within 10 yards of it. A lot of folks claim to never have gotten it only to get it terribly bad when they are 40 years old. Some build up a tolerance over the years and quit getting it. Me, I get it and always have. But, I only get it in small patches. Weird I think. PS

The only time I've ever had it was a similar situation to what PS said about Keith. I was clearing tornado damage, and some trees were just covered with poison ivy. I was ripping that stuff off so the other fella's would load up the logs. I had it from wrist to elbow on both arms, but I've never had it since. I was rooting around in the stuff for 6+hrs though.

My grandad got it in his lungs from burning a fence row and breathing too much of the smoke. He was in bad shape until it cleared up.

Last fall, I tore a vine off my favorite stand tree, and wondered if I would get it. I didn't. I have had my face in it before tying a line to a tree for camo laundry, and didn't get an outbreak. My two brothers have never had either. I was just curious, I don't tell people hey watch this, and go rolling in it.
Tom claims he has never had chiggers. And that boy lays in fields sometimes during early bow season.

Shall I bring a camera with me? I think I might have a disposable one laying around. If not I'll grab my little digital.
