Looks like the senate has passed HB1074 with amendments that read, No less than 20,000 NR tags available (basically unlimited) and an escalating scale for fees starting at $325.00 + stamp/license in 2005, $375.00 +s/l in 2006 and $425.00 +s/l in 2007. It is expected to easily pass through the house as early as this week to make it final. So save up boys if your gonna cross the river, but it does appear you can get a tag if you got the cash. I believe the tag system is gonna be application from June 1 - ? and if the # of tags is below 20,000 all will be granted, if more than 20,000, most likely all will be granted anyway. I will update the dates as soon as I hear. BT

Now that you have officially invited me to your honey hole BT, I just plan to hunt does. Tags are cheaper and all.

You can come on over and be camp femaledog and shoot some does if you want, but anything over 125" is out of the question until you pay your dues or trade off for a good ole high fenced hunt.

What happens if I accidentally shoot two deer at once? What if I shoot through a doe and kill a 170" monster? It could happen. It happens all the time on turkeys.

If that happens, well, I suppose you could tag it and I get the rack. Fair enough.

Are we talking outfitter ? If so, the majority of us probably have never been to an outfitter thus we don't follow who is who. Image

Are you gonna fill us in or not ?

This is pure bullchitting on their part. The way I read it, Robin has other financial commitments and therefore doesn't want to fork over the dough to hunt in IL this year. Could be that they were schemeing to have 170 start an outfit to guarantee them a tag at "Buffalo whatever you call it". This is just a wild donkey guess though. I haven't done a Google search, but I would think a guy could find it if it did in fact exist... and such.

On another note. That would be a good way to guarantee yourself a tag.

PS,

Sounds accurate. I did a search prior asking what it was. Can't find a thing about it.

Like I said, sounds like a good way to ensure yourself a tag with all the poopoo that is going on over there. I've heard this code talk between the 3 of them, so that is where my wild donkey guess is coming from.

HB 1074 passed last Friday through the House in IL. It is now official at least 20,000 tags available 325.00 in 05 + license and stamp and fees for a total of approx. $400.00. They will increase each year by $50.00 for the next 2 years. Still no official word on when to apply. FYI. BT
