It's Phil Robertson ( The Duck Commander ) and his band of fellow Louisianan wild men.

You should watch some of their vids if you get a chance. I promise you've never seen anything like 'em. Image

You talk about water swattin like it's a bad thing. I'll be the very first to tell you if a duck lands in the dekes or even swims in... He'll never see air again. A dead duck is a dead duck. I ain't there for the sunrise, Jack.

Water swattin' and whacking turks on the roost...it's all the same thang. A bird in the hand.

No ODF. Shooting roosting ducks on the water and shooting roosting turksin the tree is the same thing. Both would most likely happen before legal shooting time.

A duck that lands in my decoys or lands outside of them and swims in, well it dies because it came there. I've got no shame in doing that. I'll whack them all day like that or in the air. Don't matter a bit to me.

Okay I'm with you now TT. So it's kosher to be at the tree and shoot the turks as they flying into the roost, because they came there. Whew, glad I got that figgerd out. Image

I'm with Too Tall on this one. If you fool a bird into LANDING in your spread, you've done your job.
You can hunt turks after 1pm in the fall.
What's the difference in shooting a roosted turk and shooting a bedded buck?
Why don't we flush turks and shoot 'em on the fly?
