Stockton/ Table Rock
Stockton/ Table Rock
I tried to fish Stockton yesterday evening but it was pretty rough!! Did troll a little and caught a couple of short crappie , no walleyes though. Took my wife to Table Rock Lake today and still didn't catch any walleyes. Did catch about 7 bass to 16 inches, 1 white bass (17 in), 2 crappie (12 in), 1 channel cat (3lbs) and another Rainbow trout that was 2 lbs 9 oz. Caught them all over 70+ ft of water must have been suspended. Caught them all on crankbaits.

About how deep do you think you're fishing?

Probably between 15 and 20 ft. No deeper than 20, though.

The Corp isn't doing their temps and DO, for some reason and it to bad, it would be interesting to know what temp you're fishing. It must be fairly cool at that depth for the Bows to be active, unless they're stacked on the thermocline.

PD,
We spoke with a couple of guys bass fishing that said it was tough right now. Should have told them all they need to do is just move out to the middle of the lake in about 100 ft of water with no structure around and throw crankbaits...Should be easy

Re: Stockton/ Table Rock
Just got in from a short trip on Tablerock. Tried trolling cranks for walleyes, whites, or _______ and ended up with one big white (17 in.), 5 good solid keeper Kentucky's, all 16 to 17 inches, and a few short Kentucky's. No smallies, no largemouths, no walleyes. A Deep Little Ripper on lead-core caught about half of those and a bigger, deeper diving crank caught the rest except for the white hit a little 200 series Bandit over about 95 feet of water. That little Bandit was on a fairly short line, probably running 11 or 12 feet deep. Alot of shad near the surface over deep water.
I spent most of my time trying to stay in 25 to 30 fow.
Might go back out later.....
By the way. The Deep Little Ripper was running about 22 feet deep. The other big crank was running about 18 or 19 feet deep.
All but one of the Kentucky's and the white were released.

Sounds like my typical Walleye excursion on the Rock. The Eyes are there but I'm just having a problem finding them. I usually catch a couple 12" crappie though. The crappie and rainbows like chartruce.
The Walleyes I have caught have come on white, white/green and chartruce.
How do you spell Chartruce????
