Norfork Schedule????
Guys,
What exactly is the schedule and the such for this event. This is the first MWAA event I will be fishing in. I sent in my check, have my room, and even a slip at the marina. I have no clue as to the times and what the normal operation is for this event. I thought there would be some communication via newsletter or mail on this matter, but never saw any.
Can I leave my boat in the marina slip or do I have to pull it out of the water in order go through some sort of an inspection?
I am assuming there is a pre-tournament rules meeting. Any ideas as to when this is?
Where exactly do we meet in the morning? At the launch or the marina? Where is weigh-in? Is there any kind of get together before or after?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I will be down there Thursday afternoon....Just in time for cocktail hour in the bar. Hope to meet some of you there.

Re: Norfork Schedule????
Usually there's a pre-tourney briefing about 30 minutes prior to take-off. They can do the livewell check on the water. Meeting, take-off point and weigh-in site are all one and the same.
Important news: evidently the tourney site has moved to Henderson Harbor. This just came out over the weekend. That's never happened before... hopefully walleyesrus can shed some light....

Re: Norfork Schedule????
MWG...Mrs. Tablerock and I should be arriving Thursday afternoon also but I'm just now starting to inquire about a campsite at Henderson. If it's full, I'll have to just keep looking at other sites until I find one open with electricity. We'll see....
Tournement hours are usually 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m...
Anybody know if that will hold true for this one ??

The launch will be at 7am from the Henderson Access which I believe is right next to the Lake Norfolk Marina. You can motor over to the launch site from your slip and do a on water livewell inspection. The weighin will be at the same launch site at 3pm.

Re: Norfork Schedule????
I will be arriving on Wednesday afternoon and staying across the bridge at Hummingbird Hideaway. I think several are staying at the Lake Norfolk Inn, so I propose that those that are down early congregate over there around 7pm on Thursday and Friday evening.
My cell number is 417-299-3732, it usually works down there if I am out on the water, not so good up along the bluffs, around the cabins or if I forget to turn it on!

Re: Norfork Schedule????
I know I am a newbie to the M.W.A.A., and this is my first M.W.A.A. event, but the communication on the "nuts and bolts" considering location, launch, and schedule is horrible. An outsider or someone new to the area has no clue as to all this. If it were not for you guys on here, all I would know is that I sent in my check, and I have a hotel room hopefully near the launch, and that is it.
I appreciate all the info you are passing along.
Mike, where is Henderson Harbor? I am staying at the Lake Norfork Inn, and have a slip at the marina. I hope this is close to where I am staying.

Re: Norfork Schedule????
MWG, I've never been to Norfork, and "Team Glyde-Ryde" isn't fishing this one. Bill Ackermann seems to know the area some, and what he posted should be helpful (sounds like it's right next door). Pat sent an email out this weekend regarding the change of venue, but it looks like some of the addresses were a little off. First time this has happened--evidently they're expecting a larger turnout, and the original launch site can't accommodate that many boats.
Pat's going to register now and post what she knows. Be gentle...

Didn't mean it that way--I think she's new to message boards...

Re: Norfork Schedule????
OK lets see if I can help you. I'll give this posting thing a shot. The gang will launch from Henderson at 7:ooam. As I already have you on the list you should be there for livewell check by 6:30. Doc will be the only one doing the checks this time so it will go a little slower. Use a slip if you want. No problem. Just before the start the rules will be highlighted. The whole list is on the web site if you want some bedtime reading. The hours are from 7 to 3. weigh-in will be at the launch site. Most will be down Thurs. Hope to see you all there.

Here is a link to the MWAA Tournament Regulations:
Tournament Regulations
Once you cross the HWY 62 bridge East of Mountain Home you are in Henderson, it is not a big place. The Henderson Access and Rec Area, the Norfolk Lake Marina and the Norfolk Inn are all right there. The Access and Marina are to your left and the Norfolk Inn is on your right.

Re: Norfork Schedule????
Hi, Pat. Welcome to the Missouri verison of the Neverland Ranch. Thanks for the tournament info. We got several new guys who will be fishing with MWAA for the first time, and administrative details ahead of time always help. I would stay, but Hausfrau is yelling that we need to head out for a doubleheader softball game the grand daughter's team is playing, and we gotta eat first. later,
Again, welcome aboard. You can keep up with most of the gang right here....except PowerDive...nobody can keep up with him, of course.

Re: Norfork Schedule????
darm, yes, there'll be a meeting at the gazebo adjacent to the State Park Ramp on Friday. I was going to wait till the Norfork tourney was over, but I'll just go ahead and start a big, long Stockton tourney post tomorrow.... Hold tight, and we'll get some info up!
