Norfork fishing derby

Post by walleyesrus » June 26th, 2005, 5:37 pm

another miserable fishing experiance for me, kind of like holding a trourney on Table Rock or Lake of the Ozarks, I've never seen so many pontoon boats in my life, Jr and I pulled cranks for 7 hrs Sat. and never caught a fish of any species. Did have about a dozen boats pass between us and shore, I don't know why people find it so hard to pass a fisherman on the wide side of the lake, I need to start carrying a slingshot. Didn't get any giants this year. But the snook and redfish fishing was great. Caught a 12lb Snook on Friday morning. That was the biggest snook of the trip this year. The weather didn't cooperate. Raining every single day in Naples. Caught several sharks in the 40-50 lb range.

Here's the link to the snook picture:

The guide/photographer cut my head off by putting his finger in front of the lens, but it was a great picture of the fish :=))

I guess you'll get the same slump I did. A new boat seems to be a curse, although I hope yours runs better than mine. By the way, I saw very little of you down there, where was ya? You must have rented 1 of those pontoons, you'd a been about 1 in a million. Image

I never thought I'd develop a case of pontoon envy, that place was nuts. Fri night I went out to eat with Gallant, Draisey and the jeff city boys and it literaly took us over 3 hrs to eat, kind of like the mug on steroids. Ate up the whole night.

My partner and I killed a case of Canadian beer, as well as attacked the bar at the Norfork Inn. Did not see too many people out of their rooms.
AGH...lost it....She pulled down my pants and all she did was giggle.
