Switching pins???

Post by Limbshot » July 3rd, 2005, 7:58 pm

OK guys, as you all know I do a lot of 3-D shooting and of course I do a bit of bowhunting as well, my question is, why are is it guys that shoot .019 inch pins for 3-D often switch to pins of .029 or maybe even bigger for hunting? I clearly see the need for smaller pins for 3-D shooting, but why not use the same pins for hunting? Is accuracy any less important on real animals as opposed to foam? I have never understood why so many guys seem to change for hunting, and was curious if anybody knew why people do that.

Maybe they have a harder time seeing the smallers ones while in the woods? just my 2 cents.
