Truman Tailrace
Truman Tailrace
They have slowed the water down now to just the little out of the gate to oxygenate, but have been generating quite a bit of water in the heat of the afternoon and turning it back down between 6 and 8pm. This has it stirred up enough to catch some crappie in the early morning and some in the afternoon but I've heard little through the day. Whites and a few hybrids have been surfacing in the morning and evening but only occasionally coming down below the cable. Catfishing has slacked off a little since a week ago when they were coming off the nest hungry. Back to hit and miss with some days producing fairly well, others few fish caught. Tough fishing in the heat of summer. However, still some nice fishing if you manage to be in the right place at the right time.
Re: Truman Tailrace
Have to admit that the report this week is just about the exact same as last week. I have heard crappie have been biting fairly well morning and evening both below the dam and up on the lake. A few more Hybrids being caught as well.
