It's hot dam hot,went to Bull today first mistake,we put in @ 3 pm. Not going to do that again. Till cooler weather, second mistake we fished the saddle area, we fished to deep. we should have pulled spinners we chose to pull cranks. All we caught was some catfish ,and I about caught a heat stroke. From now on I'm off the water by 10am and not back on till 7;30pm. I bet I drank 10 sodas and 2gal of water.

I put the boat on Tablerock a couple of days ago at 5 p.m., and it wasn't too bad. You've just got to find a high bluff so you can fish in the shade for a while. Even so, I was dipping my ball cap in the lake, putting it on my head and letting it drip. It is hot - but it was real nice out there after the sun went down. Full moon, no wind, tree frogs and whipporwills singing, awfully pretty.

Best of all, the dang jet-skiers quit at dark.

Last night at 10:00 PM the temp in the Tablerock area was sitting at 91--------I need to have my head examined for working in this heat!

Ozark--Its got to cool down soon---like maybe in the next 7 or 8 weeks!

its a 109 up here in omaha today and im not even thinking about fishing.

well yes they do sell good beer but i have a boat payment now so i got to cut a few corners. in fact i have to cut a few more cause im looking at a 8 hp yamaha 4 stoke kicker motor for the new boat.

The way Stockton is dropping daily for power generation, you may not need trolling motor by September. A 12 foot jon boat might be big enough to handle the 325 surface acres that will be left.......we go through this every year, though. The lake will be down, but there's a lot of water in there and the walleyes will be waiting.

IT Is suppose to cool off mid week . I am going to try it again then.B.S. is also generating a lot of water 6-8 most of the day.Hope the weather man isn't lieing to us again about mid -80's by wendsday.

I'm banking on the ole weatherguy to be RIGHT for a change---we got to have some relief down here on the lakes----the fish are all heading for Taneycomo to cool off!

If the weather service on my computer is even close, we will have a near 30 degree drop between tomorrow and Wednesday. Probably be some strong storms along with the break in the heat.

CW--Rain is something that we have not seen much of this year----the good thing---I have not had to mow this 7 acres for almost a month now---thats a nice break from riding that tractor for 6 hours in the heat!

Storms are good ,if that's what it takes to get this heat out of here. I wound not mind having a place in minnesota for the summer if it was this hot all summer. I grew up on the Arkansas river and it was hot and humid but I don't remember it being this hot and humied.

I agree meat man----the storms can come this way all they want (Branson)

This is the hottest year that I can remember for several years. However this is the first year I have worked outside since the late 80's. The good thing--I have peeled off right at 40 lbs since the middle of May!

When I was growing up in the state, our only AC was an old Black oscillating fan, with a cloth covered cord, and that was the norm. I don't think it got near this hot however, at least as I remember it.

I can relate to that old black fan ,my grandparents still had a out door outhouse till I was grown . They had a air conditioner,when I turned about 10 years old but they refused to use it ,said it would make it harder on you ,and make lite bill to high. My gandpa said , dont know what this world is coming to,people wants to crap inside and eat outside ,they once wanted to eat inside and crap outside . I kinda see his point now that I 'm getting older.
