The more of them on Table Rock, the fewer left to come over to Bull Shoals.....I think i heard somebody mention that they heard a story about a guy who caught a limit of walleyes over on TR that weighed over 35 lbs. Must be true. All the big fish have managed to migrate back through the system and are now in Table Rock...no need to go looking for them in Bull Shoals next winter. Image Image

The fish don't get chased and harassed at Table Rock, other than at spawning time on the major tribs, and by Bullitt doing his best to ram them with his pontoon. (Sorry, Scott, couldn't resist!) Rest of the year, it seems walleyes are the "mystery fish" on TR. I hear walleyes also run up the Roaring River, and the James, possibly even Long Creek in spring--but it's a pretty quiet thing. If a guy could find some spawning water that hasn't been "discovered" or thinned out by the masses, maybe something real big could happen at Table Rock.

Yes, This is big walleye country.I think that the next world record will come out of the barker hole area to the dam. Greers Ferry still has big fish ,but a lot of people do not target these fish even though it is where the world record came from .Poeple fish it mainly for baaaaaasss.I don't know why? But in the next 5 years with it's slot limit it has now it will be my favorite again for a new record. For about 3 years now the agfc has had a slot of 18-28 inches with only being able to keep one fish over 28 inches .I also think table rock lake is a good walleye lake, even though I have only fished it 4 times . I have talked to lots of junk (bass) fisherman that have caught good walleyes, also customers that have told me stories of 18lb class walleyes coming out of the shell knob area of the lake. I plan on checking it out while everyone else is hunting this fall.

Powerdive has a big hole in his outdoor activities resume. He does not hunt either. We're working on getting him up to par.

Bull or Greer's ferry will probably be where the next World Record walleye will come from. Table Rock has a shot since it produces some 18 lbers and it isn't near as pressured for walleyes. I hope it doesn't ever get pressured that much. You can see what all the pressure has done to the " Green Carp" on Table Rock. A 10 # Green Carp is almost nonexistent on Table Rock anymore, and I attribute that to the Pressure on the fish, which is enormous. The Pot Hole or Barker Hole could produce the next World record Eye', but it may be a L-O-N-G time before someone gets one in that big. I am sure one has been hooked before on Bull like it has been on Greers and it got OFF(Does this sound familiar Meatman). A lady probably had a near world record on at Greers a while back here, and her husband didn't Image have a large enough net to try to scoop it into, thus it GOT OFF !

I did not say I did not hunt. I kill big big bucks and I mean {ARKANSAS BIG BUCKS} It just doesn't take me very long.3 days of hunting and I am done, deer or no deer, rifle only. After that and I am fishing again because the deer are hard to find they are so spooked from the traffic in the woods and the shooting and the dogs.
