I guess I'm getting the threads mixed up. I have yet to see a buck out of velvet this year. The earliest I have ever seen one was September 4th. Last year, I could have shot a spike in velvet.

I was pretty suprised but I looked em over pretty good for about 5 min. They were over 200 yards away but I had steadied over the steering wheel. They turned their head sideways several times giving me a good look at both the front, and from the side. Looked clean to me.
